Who is this Jesus you speak of?
How many times have I heard that? How many times have all of us, who testify to be followers of Jesus heard that?
Although I am very open about my faith on this blog, if I'm really honest, I find it so much harder to be as bold in person...to chat about things other than the weather...even with the ones I care about most in my life.
It's so much easier to type the words...but when it comes to saying them, I tend to be on the more reserved side of the coin.
There's a song by Casting Crowns that goes something like this:
So maybe this time, I'll speak the words of life
with your fire in my eyes
But that old familiar fear is tearing out my words
What am I so afraid of?
'Cause here I go again
Talkin' bout the rain.
And mulling over things that won't live past today.
And as I dance around the truth,
Time is not his friend.
This might be the last chance to tell Him that you love him.
But here I go again...
These lyrics seriously shake my soul...how many times have I put off the opportunity to talk about the most important aspect of my life...the one who longs to save every soul out there? More time than I would like to count.
